With the advent of the novel coronavirus, routine life took a back seat and gradually went to a hiatus. Countries imposed strict travel restrictions, eventually banning travel until the number of cases declined. This scenario resulted in the perturbing of many businesses that include the travel and tourism sector. Consequently, this intensified traveling hesitancy among people, largely due to stringent travel rules, regulations and the added cost of covid tests and expensive air-tickets.

Although many domestic flights are still operating in certain parts of the world, uncertainty still girdles around international travel and tourism. Such dire circumstances are compelling countries to reform tenuous tourist footfall. Despite the tumult, there is encouraging news for globe-trotters, and travelers can be optimistic for the future. After a grief-stricken year, countries are finally seeing a decline in covid-19 cases. To restore economic growth and promote travel ,they are willing to go the extra mile by providing travelers with financial incentives.

Countries like Italy, Japan, Uk, Bulgaria, Mexico, Las Vegas are designing various measures to revive tourism back into the country.

The United Kingdom

The United Kingdom is one of the severely affected countries. The UK government has proposed enticing offers for travelers who wish to travel the country after the coronavirus. To lure travelers, the government has planned to fund travelers and tourists who opt for the United Kingdom as their post-pandemic travel destination.

Japan

In the wake of the pandemic, tourism in Japan is as dead as a dodo. To revive the tourism sector, the government has launched a travel subsidy. It is anticipated to boost tourist traffic, and stimulate economic development. It will include offers, freebies, and vouchers to boost the Japanese economy by $12.5 billion. However, a tourist could either book hotels directly or via agencies to avail travel subsidiaries. Hence, with all the benefits that Japan offers, it is the perfect choice for your post-covid vacation plans.

Sicily, Italy

Italy has always been a top-favorite country for travel. Despite restricting movement and imposing stringent lockdowns, it also heads the list of covid-19 affected countries. Accordingly, there were few flights in-and-out of Italy this year, giving rise to severe tourist footfall. Today, aiming to propel the business situation, the tourism sector is wooing travelers by coming out with financial incentives and attractive offers. The €50 million scheme involves exciting deals and financial incentives for people who will travel to the country. It includes reimbursement of half the transportation fare, a one-night free hotel stay, and a zero-entry fee on visiting museums and tourist spots. The Italian Tourist board recently launched the #TravelResponsibly campaign to ensure people travel safely and responsibly, taking all security measures. What more reasons does one need to visit this scenic country?

Las Vegas — USA

Las Vegas is another favorite travel destination, having substantial tourist turnover every year. However tourism in Las vegas has taken a big hit during the pandemic. Recently Derek Stevens, a hotel CEO, announced a 1000 flight free giveaway to encourage tourism back into the gambling capital.

Cyprus

Cyprus is another travel-favorite for many. However, vacationing at the gorgeous island during the pandemic comes at a great expense!. The Cypriots government promises to bear all your travel expenses, given that you contract coronavirus while traveling to the country. Officials claim that the offer includes costs covering medical, hospitalization, victuals, and accommodation expenses for patients and their families. However, it is among the European countries with the lowest covid-19 ratios per capita. Cyprus has now lifted the international air travel ban, and the island is now open for tourists. Travelers now require to complete a “COVID-19 travel declaration” asking for a 2-week traveling history and a covid-test certificate pre-boarding the flight. Also, wearing masks and random temperature checks are termed mandatory during the stay at the island.

Cancun Mexico

Cancun is the hub of tourist spots in Mexico. It is covered with gorgeous beaches and abounds fancy properties. However, the pandemic hugely affected the crowd density. To improve tourism, they are running a scheme known as “Come to Cancun 2X1”. This initiative offers you to pay for the first two nights while the third night-stay in one of the properties will be completely free of charge. Furthermore, you can avail the airfare deals such as ticket refunds when you travel with a friend. Moreover, travelers can utilize recurrent social-media competitions as an opportunity to earn a Cancun lifetime travel certificate.

Bulgaria, Balkans

Bulgaria’s tourism industry swelled massively during the previous years, owing to its pocket-friendly travel expenses, gorgeous landscapes, and sunny, warm beaches. As of now, Bulgaria does not plan to incentivize its visitors. However, it still earns its place on this list for the sole reason that tourists can now visit any tourist attraction free of cost. Also, Balkans will pay for your sun loungers, sunbeds, and even for tables at the beaches.

These and many other countries are gradually opening their travel and tourism industries to rebuild their economies in 2021. For travel lovers, now is the best time to utilize the post-pandemic benefits these destinations have to offer. There is no denying that these juicy incentives are too good to be true.
